Hello again Hikers!
The summer heat is approaching fast but the nature still stays green and lush! This hike is for you, if you want to cool down a bit on a hot summer day, in the forest, crossing fresh cold water creeks & experiencing the natural beauty Hungary has to offer! Save the date: 11th of July.
The Cuha Canyon (in HUN: Cuha-szurdok) is one of the most precious and hidden gems in the Bakony mountains. It offers you a chance to be richer with nice memories from the charming, authentic countryside of Hungary. The tour will guide you through the most adventurous parts of the canyon, between rocks, creeks, protected forests and viaducts of an unusually lined railway line with tunnels. Moreover, we will visit a small, but famous cave which served as hiding place for the outlaws in the past. Nature will also offer for us spring water to fill up your water bottle and feel more connected to its beauty!
The length of the hike: 13-15 km, 210 meters ascend and descend.
Duration of the hike: approx. 4 hours
Difficulty: Easy to medium, it is doable for everyone but as it was mentioned before, don’t forget to bring waterproof shoes as we are expected to cross over brooks/creeks. 😉 Dress weather appropriately!
Ticket with meal: 9500 HUF
